About
Our Story
We’re here to serve those who serve for us. And below are some of the reasons the credit union experience stands apart.
The Credit Union Difference
ANSAC Credit Union was formed to promote thrift, by encouraging members to save together and when necessary, to provide money for worthwhile purposes to our members
We’re here to serve those who serve for us. And below are some of the reasons the credit union experience stands apart.
Bank on-the-go with our online services at your own leisure. Move funds, pay a bill and apply for a loan all from home.
Savings balances are available to withdraw on demand and savings up to €100,000 are covered by Deposit Gaurantee Scheme.
You are not just a customer but an active member of the credit union. Members share in a highly successful, not-for-profit financial co-operative.
We believe it is our duty to provide for our members, in the most efficient way possible, the services they need to improve their social and economic well-being.
About ANSAC Credit Union
Today ANSAC, which stands for 'Army Naval Services Air Corps' has over 7,200 members.
We provide assistance to our members to help organise their family budgets. Our lending service, in addition to any other service we may provide, is at the disposal of all our members.
It is important to remember that the money members receive as loans is the savings of other members. To this end, it is imperative that members continue to save while paying off a loan.
Our Mission Statement
"We, in ANSAC Credit Union Limited, believe it is our duty to provide for our members, in the most efficient way possible, the services they need to improve their social and economic well-being. In addition, to practice the values of equality, equity and mutual self-help by providing a source of credit for each other and a means of practising thrift."
Who can join
Credit Unions must have a common bond that is either professional or geographic. In the case of ANSAC, it is membership of PDFORRA.
The following groups can also join:
- The extended family of ANSAC members, including minors, once they live on the island of Ireland.
- Members of PDFREMA
- Anyone who was a member of PDFORRA upon retirement.
We can also reactivate accounts at any time so never hesitate to give us a call on 018554489 and we can assist you with this.
We need Volunteers
Do you have the skills and knowledge to benefit the community we serve? We’d love you to join our team.
Supporting the Defence Force Community
Over the past 30 years or so we feel both privileged and humbled to have been able to support so many great causes that our members are involved in. And while we do get external sponsorship requests from time to time, it's our strict policy to allocate funds only to those within our common bond.
