Terms & Conditions
1. You must be a member of ANSAC for at least 6 months before applying to the Bursary Fund. You must maintain a balance of €50 in your account (excluding the €8 if subscribed to our Member Prize Draw).
2. All applications must be made via the ANSAC Bursary fund application form located on our website here: www.ansaccu.ie/bursaryfund before 20th September 2024.
3. Our total bursary fund is €5000 for the financial year ended 30th September 2024. This will be allocated as a grant up to a maximum amount of €500 each.
4. Each individual grant will be €500 or the full amount of the course fees, whichever is the lesser sum.
5. Members who meet criteria 1 above can apply to receive a contribution for fees they have paid themselves or for one of their children for educational, personal development & cultural courses between 30/08/2023 and 01/09/2024.
6. The grant recipients will be selected at random from all those who meet the criteria under the supervision of the ANSAC Board of Directors.
7. The selected grant recipients will be notified by email or letter, at the postal address held by the Credit Union within 30 days of being selected. To ensure an audit trail, where possible, all grants shall be lodged directly to a member’s account.
8. Grant recipients will also be listed on the ‘members only’ section of the ANSAC Credit Union Website. In order to have regard for the member’s privacy the only information published will be: a. The surname and initial b. The county in which they reside c. The amount of the grant
9. ANSAC Credit Union will also announce the grant recipients on all the credit unions’ social media platforms. However, the only information published shall be the county in which each recipient resides.
10. The Board of Directors of the Credit Union will interpret these rules and any other matters arising out of the operation of our Bursary Fund.
11. These rules may be amended from time to time by the Board of Directors of the Credit Union and participants shall be notified of any amendments in writing or by email.
12. The decision of ANSAC Credit Union Ltd.’s Board of Directors concerning foregoing rules or any matters arising from the monthly draw will be final and not subject to appeal.
