INVITATION FOR NOMINATIONS FOR THE ANSAC BOARD AND BOARD OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE

WE'RE SEEKING MEMBERS FOR ELECTION TO OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS

& BOARD OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE AT THE 2024 AGM

Dear Member,

ANSAC Credit Union Limited is seeking personnel from its general membership to join our Board of Directors and Board Oversight Committee. Please be advised that nominees must be:

  • eighteen years of age (18) and over,
  • serving or non-serving.

In addition to this, certain qualifications and/or skill sets for example: Finance, Marketing, Health & Safety, Risk & Strategic Planning, or any other skill sets that would be beneficial to ANSAC while not essential, would be seen as a definite plus.

Following on from the signing in to law of ‘The Credit Union and Co-operation with Overseas Regulators Act 2012’ the nomination procedure for election to the Board of Directors and Board Oversight Committee of ANSAC Credit Union is set out below:

Nominations procedure:

Nominations for election must be completed on the relevant form which can be found here.

Nominees must secure a proposer and seconder, prior to returning their application to ANSAC.

Completed nomination forms must be returned to the ANSAC Credit Union office no later than 13.00hrs on Friday 15th November 2024 . Any application form received after this date will NOT qualify.

All prospective candidates, who have not completed Due Diligence in the previous 12 months, must attend a presentation either by Microsoft Teams or in our ANSAC Credit Union office on Monday 02nd December 2024. Alternatively, all candidates who have previously completed Due Diligence must inform the Nomination Committee of any change in their circumstances.

Agenda for Due Diligence Session:

  1. Delivery of an information briefing outlining the relevant functions, time commitment and required work etiquette of volunteers.
    b. Signature of a declaration stating understanding of these requirements and acceptance of same.
    c. A Due Diligence process (eligibility check) conducted by the Nomination Committee to satisfy Central Bank requirements.

    Following this process, the Nomination Committee will immediately forward the names of all eligible candidates to the Board of Directors for their inclusion on the relevant ballot papers.

    The following vacancies will exist at 2024 AGM: 

Board of Directors: 3
Board Oversight Committee: 2
