New Community Engagement Officer
We're delighted to announce that Ricky McCausland, has been appointed to the role of ANSAC Community Engagement Officer.
This is a brand new role for the Credit Union, coming at a time when ANSAC has expanded its common bond to allow the extended family members of an existing member to join plus retired members of PDFORRA. The Credit Union has also brought out a fantastic low-fee current account service for members allowing them to have their credit union and daily banking all in the one place.
This new role gives ANSAC greater capacity to meet members face to face and really deliver on its mission statement through the likes of attendance at DF events & training, delivery of financial wellness sessions and attendance at ANSAC sponsored events and so much more.
ANSAC Mission Statement:
"We, in ANSAC Credit Union Limited, believe it is our duty to provide for our members, in the most efficient way possible, the services they need to improve their social and economic well-being. In addition, to practice the values of equality, equity and mutual self-help by providing a source of credit for each other and a means of practising thrift."
About Ricky:
Ricky served in the DF for 23 years in total (11 in the 1st Armoured Cavalry Squadron & the final 12 years as BPSSO in the DFTC). He also went above and beyond in his capacity as a volunteer with ANSAC initially coming on board as a Barrack Rep before progressing to the Governance side of the house, sitting on the ANSAC Board of Directors and various subcommittees over the years. This dual knowledge and experience perfectly position Ricky to hit the ground running in his establishment of this new role.
Among his many duties, Ricky has oversight of the ANSAC Sponsorship Program. Applicants for this can be made directly via the ANSAC website here: Ansac Credit Union | Sponsorship (ansaccu.ie)
Ricky will also oversee the recruitment, training and engagement of ANSAC's Barrack Reps. Anyone interested in volunteering can reach Ricky via email rickymcc@ansaccu.ie or phone: 0872278774
Above Ricky is pictured alongside Catriona Lacey, PSS & ANSAC Barrack Rep, in Custume Barracks delivering a Financial Wellness Brief to the Three Platoons there. Siobhan Dell, also an ANSAC Reps, also assisted on the day.
Thanks to all in The 6th INF BN, for giving Ricky such a warm welcome during his first visit in this new capacity!
