How can I access my account while overseas?

To access your ANSAC account while overseas, you can follow these steps:

1. Application Method: You can apply for an ANSAC loan online through our website or via the ANSAC App.

2. Access Funds: Once approved, you can access your funds via our online services.

3. Documentation: Ensure you have the necessary documentation ready, which may include proof of income and bank statements, especially if you are applying for an unsecured loan above €7,000.

4. No Early Repayment Penalties: Remember, there are no penalties for early loan repayments.

Will my ANSAC debit card work while I'm serving overseas?

Yes, your ANSAC Debit Card will work while serving overseas. Here are some important tips to ensure hassle-free usage: Notify us that you'll travelling otherwise your card could get blocked/

Pay in Local Currency: When using your debit card abroad, opt to pay in the local currency rather than your home currency to avoid unfavourable exchange rates and additional fees.

Carry Local Currency: Consider carrying some local currency as a backup, especially in remote areas where debit card acceptance may be limited.

Keep Your Card Secure: Always keep your debit card within sight when making purchases to minimise the risk of theft.

Protect Your PIN: Be vigilant about shielding your PIN when using your debit card at ATMs or point-of-sale terminals.

Save Contact Details: Save our Card Services contact number (+353 1 693 3333) in your mobile phone for immediate access in case your card is lost or stolen.

Will I be able to access the ANSAC App while serving abroad?

Yes.

Before you travel register for online banking with us if you don't already have it.

Next we recommend that you make sure you know your ANSAC pin and membership number and have the App downloaded on your phone before you travel.

Provided you can go online on your phone you will be able to use the App as normal.

Can I apply for a loan while serving overseas?

Yes the easiest way to apply for an ANSAC loan while serving overseas is via our App.

Again make sure that you're registered for online banking with us and that you know your ANSAC Pin, Membership number and have our App downloaded before you travel.

How do I adjust my deduction at source amount while serving overseas?

To do this we will require written instruction from you.

This can be provided via the 'Enquiry Instruction Form' available to you when you login to your online banking.

Alternatively you can send us in a letter as an attachment to an email to: info@ansaccu.ie

detailing your name, account number, date and the amount you wish to save to your shares via deduction at source.

Will two factor authentication work while I'm serving overseas?

Yes. It will work as normal.

How can I sign up my spouse/partner while serving overseas?

Membership to ANSAC CU is available to all the extended family members of our existing members.

The most convenient way for them to sign up is via the ANSAC App. Alternatively they can find a printable paper form available on our website here

Can I increase my savings before I go?

Yes.

To increase your saving before you go you will need to provide us with written instructions.

You can supply this via an Enquiry Instruction Form available to you when you log into online banking or send us a letter via email to info@ansaccu.ie or post to ANSAC Credit Union Limited, 18 Drumcondra Rd. Upper, Drumcondra, Dublin 9. including: your name, membership number, amount you wish to increase your saving by, date you want the payments to be updated from and your signature. Can I reduce my savings before I come home?

Yes.

To decrease your savings before you come from your overseas tour you will need to provide us with written instructions.

This can be done via Enquiry Instruction Form available to you when you log into online banking.
